Rajan p dev

Rajan P. Dev (May 20, 1950 - July 29, 2009) was an Indian film and drama actor. He was born at Cherthala in Alappuzha. district of Kerala. He acted in various Indian language movies including Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu. He came into limelight for his characterisation of Kochu Vava in the drama Kattukuthira, which was later made into the Malayalam film as Kattukuthira, with Thilakan as Kochu Vava. Rajan P. Dev died in Kochi Wednesday 29th July 2009 at 6.30 in the morning. He was admitted at Lakeshore hospital after vomiting blood. He was under treatment for liver disease for a long time. He is survived by his wife Santha, daughter Ashamma and son Jibile Raj. The last film that he had acted was Ee Pattanathil Bhootham, in which superstar Mammootty plays the hero.
